‘Didn’t look good’ – Alasdair Gold reveals potential Spurs injury concern after West Brom win

Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has revealed on his Youtube channel that there was a potential cause for concern with the way in which Tanguy Ndombele came off against West Brom on Sunday.

Although Ndombele produced some flashes of quality at the Hawthorns, he did not have a particularly great day at the office as he was guilty of giving the ball away more often than usual.

Jose Mourinho’s men improved going forward when the Frenchman was replaced by Giovani Lo Celso just past the hour mark.

Gold hinted that the substitution may have been forced on the Tottenham boss, with Ndombele seemingly in a lot of pain after a knock he sustained on the ankle following a challenge from Kyle Bartley.

The journalist, who was covering the game from the Hawthorns, revealed that the 23-year-old was shrieking with pain when he went down and that he gingerly trudged around the pitch after being withdrawn to take his place back on the bench.

However, Gold suggested that the fact that Ndombele played on for a little while before coming off could be a sign that the knock was not that serious.

Since Ndombele has not been called up to the France squad, the midfielder will get a couple of weeks at Hotspur Way to nurse any potential injury.
