‘Dier is going to kill me’ – Arsenal star takes dig at Spurs defender

Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has revealed that Eric Dier is one of the worst in the England squad at the card game Werewolf.

Given the pressure and high stakes surrounding a tournament like the World Cup, the players are usually involved in various team-building activities behind the scenes to take their minds off the matches during off days.

Ramsdale revealed that the England squad have been playing Werewolf, which in a nutshell, divides the players into ‘villagers’ and ‘werewolves’, pitting them against each other.

The Arsenal star shared that the squad have been playing it regularly after dinner and that some of his teammates are faring better in it than others.

The goalkeeper admitted that things ‘get heated’ during the game, and named James Maddison, Jude Bellingham, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jordan Henderson and Harry Maguire as players who are good at it.

However, Ramsdale was not too complimentary about Dier’s prowess in the game. When asked who is bad at Werewolf, he told The Lions’ Den: “Eric Dier is going to kill me for not saying his name, but he’s not up there, man.”

Dier and Ramsdale seem to have hit it off, with the Tottenham man revealing last week that the goalkeeper was taking the mickey at his winning penalty against Colombia during the last World Cup, remarking that it was a poor strike (The Sun).

While this sort of camaraderie may not sit well with all Spurs and Arsenal fans, Southgate deserves a lot of credit for the atmosphere he has built in the England camp as this squad is noticeably a lot tighter than the golden generation, who by their own admission, let club rivalries get in the way.
