‘Difficult and frustrating’ – Spurs player shares update on injury recovery

Manor Solomon has taken to Instagram to share an update on his long road to recovery, and the Tottenham Hotspur man has admitted the last few months have been frustrating, but insists he is determined to return stronger than ever.

Spurs signed Manor Solomon on a free transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk last summer, but things have not gone to plan at all in his debut season for Tottenham.

Two assists in his first five games showed promise for Solomon (Transfermarkt), but Ange Postecoglou has been without the Israeli winger since the end of September.

At the start of this month, Postecoglou told Football.London that Solomon was nowhere near ready to even train again just yet.

It has even been suggested by Dan Kilpatrick that Spurs could end up cashing in on Solomon in the summer.

Manor Solomon working hard to regain fitness

But, whatever happens, Solomon himself has not given up on getting back to full fitness and proving himself once more.

On Instagram, Solomon wrote: “Hi everyone. Lately I’ve been away from social media and focusing solely on my rehab and getting back on the field. The last period has been the most difficult and frustrating in my career.

“In the past 5 months I’ve been working as hard as possible to get back to doing what I love the most, but unfortunately, I haven’t fully recovered yet.

“At the same time, I’m full of motivation and will continue to do everything in order to be back stronger than ever to help my club and country. Thank you for your support, see you guys soon.”

Whether Solomon has a future at Spurs or not, hopefully he can get back to full fitness soon. It’s never nice to see a player struggle with injury so severely like this.
