Dimitar Berbatov makes North London Derby prediction for Spurs

Dimitar Berbatov has admitted that he is not surprised to see Garth Bale, Harry Kane and Son Heung-min linking up expertly with one other as great players can always instinctively understand each other.

Kane’s partnership with Son has not just been the main feature of Tottenham’s attack this season but has also arguably been one of the highlights of the league campaign so far.

The pair have combined for 14 goals this year, beating the all-time Premier League record held by Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton.

However, Sons’ goals have dried up a bit over the past couple of months, while Bale now appears to be getting back to his best after a difficult start to his Tottenham career.

The Welshman has scored six goals in his last seven matches in all competitions and looks much fitter than he did a few months ago.

The 31-year-old has linked up impressively with Kane over recent weeks, with the England captain setting up two goals for the on-loan Real Madrid star in Tottenham’s 4-1 win over Crystal Palace last Sunday.

Berbatov believes that Tottenham’s frontline will prove too much for Arsenal to handle on Sunday and backed Jose Mourinho’s men to come away with all three points from the Emirates.

The Bulgarian told The Metro: “Son, Kane and Bale will cause problems for Arsenal as they just concede goals. I will go with Spurs.

“I played with Bale early on in his career and when you play with other great players, you know how to understand each other, so it’s no surprise for me to see how well that front three is doing. Prediction: 1-3.”

I believe that both sides will score on Sunday and that it will be a tight game. Our record at the Emirates is not great and I believe this is as good a chance as we have had for a long time to beat them there. However, I am expecting a 2-2 draw.
