Director claims striker is already good enough to start for Spurs

Pantaleo Corvino, the current technical director of Leece and former director of Fiorentina, has claimed that Dusan Vlahovic is already good enough to start for Spurs, Liverpool or Juventus (Tuttosport via Sport Witness).

Dusan Vlahovic is only 21-years-old but is already shining in the Italian top-flight, scoring 21 goals and recording two assists in Serie A last time out (TransferMarkt).

The centre-forward has just two years left on his contract with Fiorentina and TransferMarkt claim that he is currently worth around £36m.

Tuttosport reported last week that Tottenham’s new Sporting Director, Fabio Paratici was driving the club’s interest in Vlahovic from his time in Italy (via Sport Witness).

Pantaleo Corvino was in charge of Fiorentina when they signed Vlahovic from Partizan for under £2m in 2018 and he has now been speaking on the young striker.

Corvino said: “Vlahović is a starter. Quality has no age. Vlahović could now play as a centre forward for Juventus, Liverpool or Tottenham.”

Spurs Web Opinion:

It really depends on what Spurs are willing to pay for a second-choice striker this summer. History has suggested, not much. Having a £36m back-up to Kane who could improve dramatically over the years would be perfect, but Spurs arguably need to spend that money elsewhere first.
