“Disgusting” – £394 a ticket for opening game; some Spurs fans are furious

Tottenham Hotspur are set to open their new stadium for Premier League and Champions League action from next month. The fans have had to wait a long time for this moment as the stadium ran into several delays due to issues with the circuitry system.

As a result, Spurs fans developed a serious case of Wembley fatigue as attendances at the national stadium dwindled this season. The fans are really excited about the prospect of finally watching Tottenham back in action at N17.

The fans who attended the test event held last Sunday have raved about the venue, claiming it is one of the best in the world, which has further added to the excitement among the supporter base.

Some season ticket holders who are unable to attend the curtain raiser against Crystal Palace on April 3rd are trying to profit from the occasion by trying to sell their seat for an eye-watering amount of money, some demanding as much as £394 for one ticket.

While the club have threatened to ban fans who sell their ticket beyond face value, some people are still continuing to do just that.

This certainly hasn’t sat well with some elements of the fan base. Here’s how some of them have reacted to what’s happening. Please note there is some offensive language below.
