Tottenham Hotspur are set to open their new stadium for Premier League and Champions League action from next month. The fans have had to wait a long time for this moment as the stadium ran into several delays due to issues with the circuitry system.

As a result, Spurs fans developed a serious case of Wembley fatigue as attendances at the national stadium dwindled this season. The fans are really excited about the prospect of finally watching Tottenham back in action at N17.

The fans who attended the test event held last Sunday have raved about the venue, claiming it is one of the best in the world, which has further added to the excitement among the supporter base.

Some season ticket holders who are unable to attend the curtain raiser against Crystal Palace on April 3rd are trying to profit from the occasion by trying to sell their seat for an eye-watering amount of money, some demanding as much as £394 for one ticket.

While the club have threatened to ban fans who sell their ticket beyond face value, some people are still continuing to do just that.

This certainly hasn’t sat well with some elements of the fan base. Here’s how some of them have reacted to what’s happening.  Please note there is some offensive language below.

  1. The club themselves are no better they let anyone who has just bought a membership to purchase tickets for the first game. The members who have been going for years and some one hotspur plus members with nearly 400 loyalty points could not get a ticket. It’s disgraceful and should be stopped for the remaining games and done on loyalty points like arsenal and Chelsea do. Many of these new members and many are touts have just become memberships to gain easy tickets and sell on, and will do so again for future games. How can a club with a brand new stadium sell tickets for the first home game on a first come first served basis, and ignore all the loyal fans who have spent years building up there loyalty points including the two years at Wembley there is no doubt that these first games should have been done on loyalty points.. If spurs don’t make champions league they will need them loyal fans to help fill the stadium for Europa league. My advice to them fans is don’t go, this club is a joke and don’t give a dam about the real fans, its just money. This has mr levy written all over it.

    • Loyal fans who try to attend every home match were offered season tickets for this season and last season! Even with 200 loyalty points you would have been offered one. With over 400 loyalty points you were most definitely offered one, but chose not to take it. If you had taken up the offer, as many loyal fans have, you would not be moaning, so stop moaning because you had your chance to be future proofed.
