‘Disrespectful’ – Conte shuts down rumours of Spurs to Juventus switch

Antonio Conte has shut down the rumours linking him with a return to Juventus, claiming they are disrespectful to both himself and Allegri.

This comes after multiple reports from Italy over the past month (Paolo Bargiggia and Calciomercato) have linked Conte with the Juventus job, even claiming he would be interested in rejoining the Italian club at the end of the season.

However, Fabrizio Romano revealed on his YouTube Channel that Juventus are not currently planning on sacking Massimiliano Allegri, and they have not made contact with Conte.

Conte also reiterated that he is happy in North London with Tottenham, and has a great relationship with both Fabio Paratici and Daniel Levy.

He remained adamant that he does not want to see any links to other clubs as he still has a contract with Spurs and does not see any ‘problems’ in the future.

On the rumours, Conte said (Football London): “(Laughs) This is incredible. In this period I think this is disrespectful for the coach that works in Juventus and for me working in Tottenham.

“We have just started the season. Many time I have spoken about this topic and I’ve always said I’m happy and enjoying my time with Tottenham.

“We have the whole season to find the best solution for the club and for me and for sure I’m enjoying my time at Tottenham. I have a great relationship with the owner and Paratici.

“I don’t see any problems at the moment in the future. We both signed the contract. I don’t want to listen to someone speaking about this [linked elsewhere].”

Spurs Web Opinion:

Links to other clubs are inevitable when you have one of the best people in the game. The same thing happens with Harry Kane too. It just means that people want what you have, the perfect sign you have made some good choices. Conte isn’t going anywhere.
