Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to share their reaction after the club decided to pull the plug on appointing Antonio Conte as their new head coach.

The Guardian claimed that the Italian will not be returning to London for a second stint in the Premier League.

The Evening Standard provided some further detail on Tottenham’s reasoning for the decision with said they were left believing that he would be reluctant to work with younger players within the squad.

Tottenham have been left without a head coach since April 19th, when Daniel Levy decided to end Jose Mourinho’s time at the club after 17 months in charge.

Conte left Inter Milan by mutual consent last month chairman Steven Zhang reportedly asked the 51-year-old to generate the sale of players to the tune of around £70m this summer and also slash the current wage bill by 15 to 20 per cent (Sky Sports).

Here is now some of the North London faithful reacted to the news that Conte will not be coming to the club.
