Matt Doherty has been speaking to Fantasy Premier League about the players he would pick for his team, and he names two Tottenham Hotspur players he thinks everyone should sign, while making a big claim about Harry Kane being on free-kicks.
The only thing that comes close to the joy and frustration of watching a football match, is playing fantasy football. For the uninitiated, Fantasy Premier League is a game where you pick a squad of 15 players on a set budget, and if they perform well in real life, you score points in the game.
It’s a game which has become more and more popular as time has gone by, and you’ll now find plenty of actual professional players have their own teams.
Of course, the questions you have to ask yourself as a professional are: do you back yourself in your team? And which, if any, of your teammates do you pick?
Well, Spurs defender Matt Doherty has revealed who he would want in his team, and both Dejan Kulusevski and Harry Kane made the cut.
Doherty said: “I’m going to go for Kulusevski, because he’s just so good at football. You can see when we don’t have him, how much we miss him. He just creates an awful lot, crosses into the box, going past people. So dynamic, he makes a huge difference to the team.

“For pure fantasy reasons, whenever he plays he seems to be involved in a goal, in scoring a goal, or making big plays.”
When picking a forward, Doherty had no hesitation in naming his teammate Kane, saying: “Just, his all-around game. He can pass the ball, he can set goals up, he scores tonnes of goals. He’s on penalties, he’s on free-kicks, even though maybe he shouldn’t be… maybe Eric Dier should be on them.”
Spurs Web Opinion
I actually have every player he named there in my fantasy team, so hopefully Doherty hasn’t cursed his picks now. I also have Doherty himself in my fantasy team, because he’s been on fire in the mid-season break and I think Conte is finally going to give him a run in the team.
