‘Done deal’ – Journalist says Spurs have agreed sale of first-team player

Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur and Bayern Munich have reached a full agreement over the permanent transfer of Eric Dier.

Bayern Munich tried to hijack Tottenham’s deal for Radu Dragusin and according to reports, they were confident of getting their man until Tuesday night (The Times).

However, the Romanian rejected the Bundesliga giants’ offer in favour of a switch to the North London club, with reports indicating that the Lilywhites will soon officially announce the 21-year-old’s capture, with the paperwork now completed (Fabrizio Romano).

That led to Bayern seemingly turning their attention back to Dier and it appears the German club have not taken long to strike an agreement with the Premier League side over the England international.

According to Plettenberg’s update, the 29-year-old will have his medical with the Bavarian club today before sealing his switch to the club, with the move set to bring an end to the player’s nine-and-a-half-year stay at Spurs.

Unsurprisingly, this move did not take too long after Tottenham won the race for Dragusin, with all three parties intent on swiftly concluding the transfer. This is certainly an impressive move for Dier, who will hope to get his career back on track in Germany.
