England star linked with Spurs move opens up on transfer rumours

Raheem Sterling, who has been linked with a move to Tottenham, has admitted that he is paying no attention to the speculation surrounding his future ahead of the European Championships.

England have plenty of attacking talent at their disposal but one would not bet against Sterling starting their opener against Croatia as Gareth Southgate has tended to show faith in the Manchester City forward.

England fans will be hoping that the 26-year-old links up well with Kane this summer as he has in the past, but if reports are to be believed, Sterling and the England captain could be moving in opposite directions as part of the same deal this summer.

It has been rumoured that City are willing to offer the former Liverpool man to Spurs as a makeweight in a deal for Kane.

However, other sources have suggested that Sterling has no interest in a move to Tottenham and would want to join a Champions League club if he is to leave the Etihad this summer.

The forward has now refused to be drawn into the reports surrounding his future as he gets ready for the Euros.

When asked how he blocks out the speculation, Sterling told talkSPORT: “Do what they done before we had social media.

“Don’t check anything, don’t look at anything. That’s the most important thing.”
