‘Don’t sell me’ – Spurs defender hints at return from injury in social media post

It had been suggested that Pedro Porro would miss the upcoming game against Crystal Palace on the 2nd of March, but the player himself has now hinted to a TikTok user that he might be available for that match after all.

Pedro Porro has had a great season so far for Spurs, registering eight assists and one goal in 25 appearances for the Lilywhites (Transfermarkt).

The Spaniard has now become a key component of Ange Postecoglou‘s system, which encourages the full-backs to take up inverted and very advanced roles when Spurs have the ball.

It’s no surprise then, that Tottenham sorely missed both Porro and Destiny Udogie last weekend in the defeat against Wolves, with the two full-backs sidelined with injuries.

It was initially thought the duo would be out until the Palace match at the start of next month (Charlie Eccleshare), but a further update from The Standard indicated Porro may have to sit that one out and wait a week longer than Udogie.

Porro says to keep him in your FPL team

Over on TikTok, Porro shared a clip of himself working out in a bid to recover from his setback, and he looks to be in good shape, adding a caption that reads: “Back soon.”

Naturally, a curious Fantasy Premier League player commented: “How long Porro, not sure whether to transfer you out of my FPL team?” to which Porro replied: “Don’t sell me.”

The Spurs man added a laughing emoji to his response, so it remains to be seen whether he is genuinely ready to come back against Palace or perhaps he just doesn’t like the idea of being sold on FPL.

Spurs Web Opinion

Judging by the video, Porro looks ready to play tomorrow never mind in 10 days time. I would not be surprised to see him starting against Palace at all.
