Italian Transfer Expert Fabrizio Romano has assured Tottenham fans that the club will be making signings this summer.
With the huge losses that have been estimated for Tottenham as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic (Football Insider), there are question marks over the club’s ability to invest heavily in the squad.
Duncan Castles has even claimed that that Jose Mourinho may not be handed any funds at all to add to his squad this summer (Transfer Window Podcast).
Football.London’s Alasdair Gold said in his recent Q and A with the fans that the club will try to complete bargain deals this summer but are unlikely to make big-money signings unless they receive a massive cash influx through player sales.
Romano earlier tweeted: ‘The only Spurs news since January’ in reference to him breaking the news of Dier signing a new contract.
When one Spurs fan mistook his tweet to mean that the club will not be active in the market this summer, Romano assured his that Tottenham will make signings.

It is inconceivable to think that Tottenham would not make any signings this summer given the gaping holes in the squad. Jose will want to strengthen in a few areas and I am sure he would have already sat down with the club’s transfer committee and assessed potential targets given the financial constraints.
