Dortmund want Spurs midfielder

Last seasons Champions League opponents Borussia Dortmund have placed Tottenham midfielder Victor Wanyama on their summer wishlist according to talkSPORT.

The Kenyan enforcer endured a stop-start season last term, largely due to injuries, managing just eight starts in the Premier League but he is still considered an important member of Mauricio Pochettino’s squad.

That aside Dortmund are plotting a potential move for him, according to German publication “Sport Bild”

The article says the Bundesliga club may lose both Julian Weigl and Nuri Sahin during the transfer window and as such will need reinforcements in central midfield and it adds that they could make their move for Wanyama once either Weigl or Sahin or both have departed.

Ex-Celtic ace Wanyama signed for Tottenham from Southampton two years ago and was a regular under Mauricio Pochettino in his first season but failed to regain a starting place and is likely to face the same scenario next season
