Dropped Spurs defender describes positive training sessions under Ryan Mason

As the season draws to a close, Spurs will be hoping to secure 2021/22 European football in the final three matches of the campaign.

Ryan Mason will be looking to bounce back quickly from a disappointing day at Leeds. However, despite this defeat, Japhet Tanganga has claimed that the interim manager has impressed throughout training.

The Spurs defender is yet to feature under Mason and has even been left out of squads on some occasions. Despite this, Tanganga has insisted that the training under Mason has remained positive.

The 22-year-old spoke on the club’s Twitch TV account yesterday, where he answered questions from a number of fans.

It has to be said that Tanganga has had a tough year following his breakthrough season. Despite this, it was certainly interesting to see such positivity from the Englishman.

When describing the session ahead of a game against Wolves on Sunday, Tanganga stated: “Training was good today, it was quite intense. Today was bigger areas, so a lot of running and work about the game on Sunday.

He would later add: “Training was good, competitive with the game at the end and my team won as well, so that was good!”

It coincides with reports from the Tottenham camp in recent weeks following the sacking of Jose Mourinho last April that many players have been happy with training under the young manager.

Spurs Web Opinion:

It has to be said that the season hasn’t been great for Spurs. But one can only hope that the team finishes strongly both for the fans and Mason. It’d be fantastic for the interim manager to be remembered fondly for his short stint at Spurs, with news hopefully coming in the next few weeks of the future manager at Tottenham.
