‘Easy to understand’ – Report confirms Spurs are watching 22-year-old

Danish publication Tipsbladet have hailed Andreas Skov Olsen’s performance against France and suggested that the winger’s display against Les Blues showed why Tottenham are keen to sign him.

The print edition of O Jogo (14/09/22) reported earlier this month that representatives from Spurs were spotted attending Porto’s Champions League clash with Club Brugge at the Estadio do Dragao.

Danish outlet Ekstra Bladet (23/09/22 as relayed by Sport Witness) suggested last week that Tottenham’s scouts were there to run the rule over Brugge star Olsen, who has made quite an impact since his switch from Bologna to Belgium in January.

The versatile 22-year-old was also quoted as saying in the report that he dreams of a move to the Premier League.

Olsen certainly did not harm his blossoming reputation in Denmark’s 2-0 win over the reigning world champions on Sunday, with the wide-man netting the Danes’ second goal.

Tipsbladet have now spoken in glowing terms about the winger’s display and confirmed that Spurs are taking a ‘close look’ at the player.

The publication wrote about Olsen: “The national team’s best left foot belongs to Andreas Skov Olsen. His scoring to make it 2-0 is proof of that. From standing, he flattens it into the box, and proves to us all why Tottenham have had a scout to take a closer look at him.

“Was involved in several offensive actions that came close to throwing away several goals. Tottenham have reportedly already taken a closer look at him, and he himself dreams of the Premier League, so it’s easy to understand if the big English clubs are drooling over Andreas Skov Olsen.”

Olsen’s reputation is growing rapidly, owing to his recent displays for both club and country. The 22-year-old looks like he could explode in the World Cup in November, which would bring him to the attention of all the big hitters and potentially double his market value.
