Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has confirmed his interest in Lille’s Eden Hazard.
The highly rated 21-year-old Belgian international operates as a creative midfielder and has caught the eye of a number of top European clubs including Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Harry has sent his scouts on a number of occasions to watch Hazard in action for the French outfit and was in discussions with Daniel Levy in January about Hazard but opted against a move.
One stumbling block could be Lille’s valuation, they have placed a £33million price on his head. Also, Hazard operates in a similar position to Luka Modric – which could raise question’s about Luka’s future once more.
Redknapp told The Observer: “Hazard is a player that we have spoken about. He is a player who is definitely on our list.”
In an interview with French television channel RTBF Hazard said: “Maybe it will be Tottenham [I will join].”
Reports in France suggest that he has already agreed personal terms with Spurs.
