‘Electric atmosphere’ – Harry Kane names his two favourite away PL grounds

Harry Kane has named Anfield and Selhurst Park as his two favourite away Premier League grounds.

To mark the occasion of a decade since he made his senior Tottenham debut, Kane offered to do a Q&A on social media and asked fans to send in their questions.

The 29-year-old answered several interesting questions on both Instagram and Twitter, including what his favourite away ground in the Premier League was.

The England captain admitted that he always found the atmospheres at Anfield and Selhurst Park to be quite special.

He said on his Instagram story (18/08/22): “Selhurst Park is a really tough place to go, the atmosphere is always electric, and also Anfield, again, electric atmosphere and a really tough place to play. Really enjoy both.”

Kane also answered a question regarding the advice he would give to young players looking to get their first professional contract in the game.

The Tottenham striker certainly did not have things handed to him on a plate while coming through the ranks of the club’s academy. He had to endure some tough loan spells at the likes of Leyton Orient, Millwall and Norwich City before finally being able to make his mark at Spurs.

Kane advised the young boys and girls looking to make it in the game to keep believing in themselves and to work as hard as they can at their craft.

Kane was never considered the best player in his age group while coming through the ranks at Spurs, with the likes of Tom Carroll, Andros Townsend and Steven Caulker being seen as more naturally talented prospects.

However, what set the striker apart from others and helped him reach the level he has, is his perseverance and determination to become the best player he can be. That is not just a lesson to aspiring footballers but a great life lesson in general.
