Not many football fans would have predicted the 3-0 drubbing of United last night, but what was even harder to predict came after the final whistle at Old Trafford.
Despite just watching their side fall to a second successive defeat, with three goals flying into their own net, some United supporters stayed until the end.
And I’m not talking about those who remained to clap Jose Mourinho and the team off the pitch, as strange as that did seem, no, I’m talking about the set of United fans who requested selfies with Spurs man-of-the-match Lucas Moura.
That’s right, you may have seen the images on SkySports, but a few Manchester United supporters called Moura over, after his two goals against the Red Devils, and asked for a selfie.
Can you imagine this happening the other way around. Picture it… you’re at the Lane, Lukaku sticks two past Lloris in an embarrassing 3-0 defeat. What do you do? Storm off? Stay in silence? Clap the team anyway?
I’m sure there aren’t many who would signal the big Belgian for a quick photoshoot, that’s for sure.
Don’t believe us? Take a look at the video below!
Is this modern football gone mad?
