Some Spurs fans are in disbelief over the latest reports suggesting that Daniel Levy has contacted Mauricio Pochettino regarding his severance package.
Pochettino was let go by Tottenham back in November after five and a half years at the helm.
The Daily Mail now reports that Levy, who had agreed to keep paying the Argentine’s £8.5million salary until he found a new club, has now asked the former Spurs manager to take a wage reduction to ease the financial burden caused by the coronavirus crisis.
The Spurs chairman was praised by some fans earlier in the week for reversing his initial decision to cut wages of non-playing staff and to use the government’s furlough scheme.
However, the report regarding the club approaching their former boss about a pay-cut has left some Spurs fans on social media embarrassed.
Some fans saw no reason as to why Pochettino would agree to take a cut after the way he was treated by the club a few months ago.

Spurs Web Opinion
All clubs would have approached every single person on their books regarding the possibility of taking wage-cuts or at least deferrals. While I wouldn’t expect Pochettino to agree to a cut, the club’s decision to approach him is understandable given that he’s one of the highest earners still on our payroll.
