“Emery will always be a legend in North London” – Spurs fans mock Arsenal manager for his hand in win over Ajax

Tottenham’s registered a dramatic win over Ajax on Wednesday night to qualify for the Champions League final for the first time in the club’s history.

The Lillywhites looked down and out at halftime after going 3-0 down on aggregate, but produced a miraculous comeback in the second half courtesy of a hat-trick from Lucas Moura.

The Brazilian stepped up in the absence of Spurs’ talisman Harry Kane and put in what was arguably the best display of his career.

Although Moura has had to be content with a place on the bench for a lot of games this season, the 26-year-old has still netted 15 goals in all competitions.

Some Spurs fans on social media remembered after Moura’s performance on Wednesday, that it was the current Arsenal gaffer Unai Emery who was the manager of PSG when the French giants allowed the pacey wide man to move to Tottenham last January.

So, they thanked Emery for the part he inadvertently played in Tottenham’s success. Check out how some Tottenham fans reacted on social media:

If Tottenham go on to win the Champions League, then even the most biased Arsenal fans will have to admit that Tottenham are the superior force in North London.

However, despite his brilliant exploits in the semifinal, Moura might find himself on the bench for the final if Harry Kane is fully fit ahead of the game.
