Emmanuel Adebayor will not be forced out of Tottenham Hotspur, that is what is being reported today.
The Spurs striker had a campaign to forget last season, following his permanent switch from Manchester City and has been linked with a move to Turkish outfit Besiktas.
The tax rule in Turkey makes Adebayor’s possible move to Besiktas an attractive option, but according to some circles he is determined to prove his worth at White Hart Lane.
We are used to the daily Spurs transfer rumours linking Adebayor with a Spurs exit after his horrific form, but should we be looking to see if big Ade can redeem himself this year? On his day we know how good he can be, or should we instead look for a striker who can peform consistently?
“Adebayor is a very talented player – anyone would like him to be a part of their squad,” Besiktas boss Slaven Bilic told Lig TV last week.
Any possible move to Turkey for Adebayor could depend on the outcome of their appeal of a one-year ban from the Champions League and Europa League over match-fixing allegations.
