England centre-back raves about ‘unplayable’ rumoured Spurs target

Conor Coady has lavished praise on rumoured Tottenham target Adama Traore, insisting that there is no footballer on the planet like the Wolves winger.

According to reports, Antonio Conte wants to bring the 25-year-old to Spurs and convert him into a right-wing-back (FourFourTwo).

It remains to be seen if a move to North London will be on the cards for Traore this month, with some sources suggesting that the winger would prefer to stay at the Molineux Stadium until the end of the season and join Barcelona in the summer.

However, The Daily Star have suggested that Wolves could now give the green light for the 25-year-old to join Spurs after they completed the signing of Portuguese winger Chiquinho from Estoril.

Traore came off the bench to score his first goal of the season in Wolves’ 3-1 win over Southampton on Saturday.

Coady, who also got on the scoresheet in the game, admitted that he was over the moon for the winger, labelling him as ‘unplayable’.

The Wolves captain told the official Wolves website when asked about Traore: “I was happier for him than I was for myself. He deserves everything he gets.

“He deserves that goal because we can’t explain how hard he works in training because he’s one of the most hardest working players and people I’ve ever met in my life,” said Traore.

“I don’t think there’s any footballer like him in the world. His power, his aggression, the way he runs, how quick he is, I don’t think there’s anyone like him, and it’s an absolute pleasure to have him here because when he plays like he did today, he’s unplayable.

“What he does in training is absolutely fantastic and he deserves that, but we all deserve a good result tonight, and we’ll move on now to Brentford.”

Spurs Web Opinion

There are very few better judges of a player’s talent than fellow professionals who play with and against them. Traore seems to be rated highly by his teammates and opponents.

So, I would certainly take their assessment over fans on social media who complain endlessly about the 25-year-old’s lack of end product.
