Eric Dier and Ryan Mason react on Twitter to Spurs vs Arsenal postponement

Tottenham Hotspur duo, Eric Dier and Ryan Mason have now reacted to the postponement of the North London Derby this weekend.

Spurs were initially scheduled to welcome Arsenal to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday for a 16:30 kick-off, but the Premier League announced today it would not go ahead.

Arsenal made a request to the Premier League on Friday evening, asking for the game to be moved due to one COVID case, injuries, players away on AFCON duty and Granit Xhaka’s suspension.

Tottenham subsequently released a statement outlining their surprise at the decision, arguing that the rules were originally brought in to offer relief with COVID cases and COVID-related injuries.

Eric Dier reacted to the statement with the gif that implied the maths did not add up, while Ryan Mason reacted with a target emoji, implying the statement was on the mark.

Spurs Web Opinion:

I can imagine and understand that Spurs are extremely frustrated by this. They would have been favourites heading into the tie this weekend and instead they have yet another rearranged fixture. And now they will have to play Arsenal when their injured, suspended, and AFCON players are back. That is not fair.
