Eric Dier may be on his way back to London following a big development over the former Tottenham centre-back’s future.
Dier spent just short of a decade at N17 and made 365 appearances for the Lilywhites before finally exiting in January of 2023.
Following a year and a half at Bayern Munich, the centre-back completed a move to AS Monaco last summer.
The 31-year-old was unable to face his former club in the Champions League back in October, as Dier was ruled out of Monaco’s clash with Spurs due to an injury.

Former Tottenham hero Eric Dier could join West Ham
The move to France has not worked out for the England international, who has missed 11 matches through injury and illness this term.
Monaco have been struggling to pick up results and are currently languishing in 9th place in the Ligue 1 table.
Sky Sports Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg has now taken to social media to reveal that Dier has now been offered to West Ham United, and the Hammers are considering bringing the defender back to the Premier League.
Plettenberg told X: “Understand Eric Dier has been offered to West Ham. The club are considering the option. At this stage, nothing is advanced yet, but it is an interesting opportunity for them. He is still under contract with AS Monaco until 2028.”
Spurs fans would find it strange to see Dier in claret and blue
A player of Dier’s experience would undoubtedly prove handy for West Ham, and Nuno Espirito Santo knows the defender from their time together at N17.
However, one wonders whether the former Tottenham Hotspur man would feel comfortable joining one of the Lilywhites fierce rivals.
It would be strange to see Dier don the West Ham colours and interesting to see what sort of reception he received in N17 if the defender did make the move to East London.
