Eric Dier reveals what the players have told him about the new stadium

Tottenham Hotspur’s Eric Dier has been in and out of injury for the entirety of this season, as well as suffering from various illnesses and undergoing surgery to remove his appendix.

It has been a real stop-start campaign for the England international, but he has finally returned from injury once again when Tottenham need him most.

With Moussa Sissoko and Harry Winks struggling with injuries of their own, Dier’s return could not have come at a better time.

Tottenham take on Brighton at home this evening, and Dier is likely to start the match in central midfield, as one of the only fit players in that position.

Due to injury, Eric has actually yet to play a game at the new stadium, but has told the Evening Standard that his teammates have been raving about the ground to him.

Dier particularly picked out the atmosphere as something he has been told much about.

He said: “From what everyone has said to me it has got an incredible atmosphere.

“I have been there from the outside and it looks like a fantastic place to play. We are very lucky to being play in a stadium like that and, hopefully, we can continue to get the results that we have got so far.”
