Tottenham Hotspur may have introduced a host of new players over the summer, but they also lost one of their key strikers from last season, Fernando Llorente.
Llorente left on a free after a memorable season in North London, as he scored against Borussia Dortmund and Man City in the Champions League knockouts.
The Spaniard also won the header that eventually led to Lucas Moura’s 96th-minute winner against Ajax in Amsterdam in the semi-finals of the competition.
He will always be written into folk law at Spurs, but with the striker training in Marbella and the club handing his old number away, a return on a free looks unlikely.
Llorente has revealed that is training hard to get ready for the new season, with Erik Lamela replying ‘Animal’.
