Erik Lamela receives touching gift from Messi after Champions League tie

Tottenham fell to their second successive defeat in the Champions League this season, as Barcelona and Messi ran away to a 4-2 win at Wembley.

Spurs conceded a goal in the first two minutes after some rash keeping from captain Hugo Lloris. Tottenham soon found themselves two down after a Rakitic screamer.

It looked as if it could be a trouncing for Pochettino’s Spurs, but a spirited performance saw them pull it back to one behind on multiple occasions.

Erik Lamela starred it a gutsy Spurs XI, scoring the goal to pull them back to 3-2, which gave them a real chance of a point late on in the match.

This made it six goals in six games for Erik Lamela, but he unfortunately had to hobble off the pitch with 10 minutes to go after cramping up.

Lamela revealed in post match interviews that he and Messi swapped shirts at the end of the match, something Lamela’s dad insisted upon.
