According to The London Evening Standard Christian Eriksen says he’s entering an “overwhelmingly overwhelming” period of his career, with fatherhood and a World Cup with Denmark on the horizon.
He was crucial in the Danish World Cup qualifying campaign, scoring a hat-trick in their devastating play-off win over the Republic of Ireland.
Sabrina, his wife, is expecting their first child, he had Premier League top four battle and the tournament in Russia all on the horizon so a busy time awaits but, like he does on the the field, the 26-year-old seems to be taking things in his stride.
“There are many things happening. So many things,” Eriksen told Danish outlet BT.
“I do not know if it’s overwhelming. Yeah, probably it’s overwhelmingly overwhelming.
He added: “Now you can see it on Sabrina,so it’s getting more and more real. We still need a children’s room, children’s nurseries and diapers. On the football level there is, of course, the Premier League and the FA Cup. So we have lots of fun and cool matches to look forward to.”
With so much on the domestic front the article adds that the Dane hasn’t turned his focus onto the World Cup just yet.

“I have not thought a lot about exactly how the World Cup will go,” he added.
“Because there are things before that.Everyone looks at who is playing a World Cup. If a player you do not know makes a good impression at the World Cup, you’ll notice him more afterwards.
He added: “You know how much attention is out on those who play at a World Cup. Of course, how it’s going to impact transfers is always different, but of course you want to do your best on the biggest stage available.You know there are so many people looking, but I do not think it’s so crucial. I just think about going to perform and performing for my country and team.”
