Eriksen ready to force through Spurs exit

According to a report in The Express Barcelona have been handed a major boost in their pursuit of Christian Eriksen, with reports claiming the Denmark international is willing to force a transfer this summer.

Eriksen has been heavily linked with a move to the Nou Camp following Andres Iniesta’s departure after the Spain international called time on his Nou Camp career, joining Japanese side Vissel Kobe.

The article adds that Barcelona could move for Eriksen, despite the Tottenham star often operating in a more advanced role and their January purchase of Phillipe Coutinho from Liverpool.

Spanish outlet Don Balon say the former Ajax star is willing to force a move this summer with the star supposedly eager to quit Tottenham to follow in the footsteps of Michael Laudrup.

Laudrup of course spent five years in Catalonia before controversially joining Real Madrid in 1994 and Don Balon say that, so eager is Eriksen to join Barcelona, he is willing to force Tottenham into letting him go.

The article adds that Eriksen views the chance to move to Ernesto Valverde’s side as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity bit the article adds that Barcelona are currently prioritising a deal for Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann.
The France international has been linked to the club all season long.

The article goes on to say that back in 2016, Laudrup’s brother, Brian, tipped Eriksen to one day move.
“He is a very interesting player for teams like Barcelona,”: he said.”He is the type of player who would suit them.He has great vision and has the talent to score goals. Maybe he’s not the quickest player, but he thinks quickly and that makes him stand out.”

This current report goes against popular belief that Eriksen would soon sign a new deal at the club. Let’s just hope he signs before the vultures start circling especially if he has a decent World Cup. Do you think Eriksen will sign up or could he be tempted by Messi and Co.
