Tottenham Hotspur attacking midfielder, Christian Eriksen, has been the at the centre of a long-running transfer saga this month.
Many reports have linked the Great Dane with a move to Inter Milan in the Serie A, with one of the latest updates claiming the Italian side want him in the stands for their next game (Corriere dello Sports via Daily Mail).
Another report stated that Eriksen’s agent was back in London this week to finalise the paperwork with Spurs over a January move (Daily Star).
However, despite the rumour mill still churning, it appears that Eriksen will not be going anywhere in the immediate future, according to Jose Mourinho.
The Tottenham head coach claims that Eriksen will be selected in the squad to face Norwich City tomorrow night, thus ruling out a move in the next two days.
Eriksen has been heavily used by Mourinho over the past two months, as his contract inches towards a close in the summer when he could leave on a free.
Charlie Ecclesshare reports that Jose said:
1. We are not buying a player every day
2. I refuse to talk about players from other clubs. Some managers do, I don’t do it. Any name you throw at me, I will say I don’t speak about player from a, b or c.
Christian, the answer is not good for you. He is selected tomorrow
