Turkish outlet Haberturk (as translated by Sport Witness) have named Tottenham Hotspur are one of the leading contenders to secure Besiktas starlet Semih Kilicsoy in the summer.
There is plenty of excitement about Kilicsoy in Turkish football, with the centre-forward turning a lot of heads since breaking into Besiktas’ first team at the start of this season.
Tottenham are thought to be one of the clubs eyeing a move for the 18-year-old, who has found the back of the net eight times in just 13 league games so far this season.
A couple of weeks ago, A Spor also suggested that Spurs are competing with the likes of Aston Villa, Borussia Dortmund, Atletico Madrid and Eintracht Frankfurt for the teenager’s signature.
Spurs are one of the front-runners for Kilicsoy
Haberturk have now claimed that Tottenham are one of the two clubs at the front of the queue to secure Kilicsoy when the transfer window reopens in June.
The report says that the youngster is now being sought after by quite a few clubs across the continent, ‘especially Tottenham and Borussia Dortmund’.

The publication adds that while Besiktas acknowledge that it would be difficult to keep hold of Kilicsoy, they will demand top dollar for him and are hoping to get a club record transfer fee for their academy graduate.
