European giants weighing up offer for Spurs midfielder claim reports

Real Madrid are said to be lining up a move for Christian Eriksen.

According to a report in The Sun, the Tottenham Hotspur playmaker is wanted by the Spanish giants as part of their squad rebuilding process.

The Dane’s contract expires in 2020 and is seen by Madrid as a potential successor to former Spur Luka Modric who has been widely tipped for a potential move to Italy.

Eriksen has held talks with the club over a new deal but nothing has been agreed to date.

He has recently seen his team mate Dele Alli sign a new £150,000 a week contract extension, while the Dane’s agent is still yet to come to a suitable agreement with Spurs officials.

The Champions League holders are said to be ready to offer £40million for the Denmark international and are also keen on Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford.

Spurs fans will be hoping that the club can reach an agreement with Eriksen over a new deal as he is arguably the most creative player we have when it comes to unlocking opposition defences.
