Europe’s big guns chasing Alli

According to The Express, sources in Spain say Real Madrid lead the chase of a host of European giants for Dele Alli, a player of course who put them to the sword last week.

And the article says former England manager Roy Hodgson reckons they are not alone.
Hodgson and his struggling Crystal Palace side face Tottenham today and the Eagles manager said Ali’s performance against Real had caught the eyes of all Europe’s giants.

“There will have been offers already,” claimed Hodgson. “Tottenham won’t want to let him go and it would only be one of the top echelon of clubs who could even consider buying him.

Hodgson added “I’m rather hoping he won’t be looking for such a move but there is no doubt that Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Bayern Munich have a big pull. “If you talk about the top midfielders in Europe now, he would be in the reckoning.”

So is Hodgson being complimentary or is it a bit of mind games ahead of Sunday lunchtimes clash.  More paper trash or is there no smoke without fire. Hodgson of course is well connected in Europe
