Tottenham Hotspur have already been linked to a number of stars this transfer window as they look to end their 16 months without a new signing.
However, one surprise position Tottenham are rumoured to be looking to strengthen is at left-back, despite the fact that the club already has Danny Rose and Ben Davies.
Spurs have been linked with a move for Everton’s Lucas Digne, who impressed on Merseyside in the Premier League last season (L’Equipe).
The Mirror claim that Poch wanted the French full-back last summer, but did not have the necessary funds to secure the signing.
However, Everton are reluctant to lose their player of the season, after Digne scored four and set up four more last season.
The Mirror say that the only way the Toffees will part with their star left-back is if Tottenham offer Danny Rose plus money for his signature.
Spurs Web Opinion:
Left back is not a problem for me at the moment. Danny Rose seems to have put his problems on and off the pitch behind him, and has looked back to his best in recent months. I see no reason why he cannot remain first choice for a number of years. I would, however, be all for Spurs signing Sessegnon as a left winger and left back cover.https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/everton-give-tottenham-demands-lucas-16269684
