Everton have set their sights on a senior Tottenham Hotspur star as the Lilywhites fight to stay in the Premier League.

The expectation is that there will be plenty of arrivals and departures at Tottenham this summer, with the club ready to undertake an ambitious rebuild of its squad.

Roberto De Zerbi has been given plenty of power in Spurs’ squad building, and the Italian will be keen to reshape the squad to suit his style of play.

However, it has been suggested that one player who has started in both games under the 46-year-old so far is now being targeted by a Premier League rival.

Everton eyeing move to sign Conor Gallagher from Tottenham

Some experts have said that Spurs would be open to cashing on Conor Gallagher this summer despite just paying £35m to sign him from Atletico Madrid in January.

Football Insider have now revealed that Everton are keeping close tabs on the Tottenham midfielder ahead of the summer window.

The report claims that David Moyes is a ‘big admirer’ of Gallagher and wants to add him to his squad ahead of next season.

However, it is revealed that the Toffees are expected to pursue a loan deal with an obligation to buy in 2027 rather than a straight transfer, as they have a limited transfer budget for this summer.

Gallagher has impressed under Roberto De Zerbi

In his first week at Tottenham, De Zerbi admitted that he loved watching Gallagher at Chelsea prior to the midfielder’s switch to Spain in 2024.

Subsequently, the Spurs boss suggested that he intends to play the 25-year-old in his best position to get the best out of him.

The England international delivered what was arguably his best performance for Tottenham against Brighton on Saturday, which would certainly not harm his chances of remaining at N17 next season.
