Alasdair Gold has revealed that everyone at Tottenham Hotspur is incredibly excited about the kind of young team that Ange Postecoglou is building.
Some of the recent results, namely the FA Cup loss to Manchester City and the draw at Goodison Park on Saturday, have led to a lot of frustration among Spurs fans.
The performances in those games have clearly shown that this Tottenham team is perhaps as not as good as some thought and that they have a lot of work to do to close the gap on the best sides in the Premier League.
However, when one takes a bird’s eye view of the situation, it is quite evident that the club are heading in the right direction, especially when considering the feeling of doom and gloom around N17 last summer.
The current Spurs side is one of the youngest sides in the division, with several players in their first full Premier League season.

Tottenham’s youngsters are attracting admiration
Tottenham added another top young talent to their squad on transfer deadline day last week in the form of Lucas Bergvall and Gold has explained that there is a lot of excitement at the club about the kind of team that they could have in a few years.
The journalist said on The Gold and Guest Talk Tottenham Podcast: “Everyone I’ve spoken to have a real excitement. Within the club and people outside the club to like agents, people like that.
“Spurs are building this ridiculously talented group of young players at the club, wonderkids if you will. 22-year-olds down you have Van de Ven and Johnson, Udogie and Sarr are even younger than that and Kulusevski is only 23.”
Spurs Web Opinion
Just the fact that fans are frustrated at our performance against City and Everton is a credit to Postecoglou as it is an indication of the fact that expectation among supporters has been reset.
It was always clear that we were never going to see the best of this young Spurs team at least until next season. Supporters must thus treat this season as a free-hit and enjoy the ride.
