‘Everyone makes mistakes’ – Former team-mate defends Hugo Lloris

Michel Vorm has lept to the defence of Hugo Lloris after the Frenchman’s performance against Manchester City.

Lloris found himself on the receiving end of a 3-0 defeat by Pep Guardiola’s Premier League leaders.

After the home side were awarded a penalty in the 20th minute, Lloris managed to get a hand to Rodri’s spot kick with some Spurs fans believing that he could have kept it out after he appeared to get his full hand behind the ball.

Fingers were also pointed in the direction of the club captain for City’s second goal which saw Ilkay Gundogan’s shot easily beat Lloris at his near post.

Lloris also came in for some criticism for his display against Everton last Wednesday night with former player Micky Hazard believing that he should have done better for the Toffees’ fourth and fifth goals.

Vorm believes that Lloris is still one of the best in the top flight and even the best goalkeepers are guilty of making mistakes.

He told Stadium Astro when asked of Lloris is still one of the best in the Premier League:“Easy, easy. For me, he is one of the better goalkeepers in the Prem, and I think he showed. Of course, you make mistakes, everyone makes mistakes.”
