Ex-Arsenal man claims Spurs are lucky to have Charlie Kane as Harry’s agent

Speaking to talkSPORT, ex-Arsenal winger Perry Groves claimed Tottenham are ‘very lucky’ that Harry Kane’s agent is his own brother Charlie Kane and is not represented by a super agent.

The claim was put forward after an earlier caller to the radio station had alledged that Kane’s brother, Charlie, is the driving force behind the constant rumours between the Spurs striker and Manchester City.

The Telegraph recently reported that Kane’s England teammates believed the 27-year-old may refuse to return to pre-season training in order to try and force a move to Man City.

New manager Nuno Espirito Santo, in his first press conference, denied any rumours that Kane could potentially be leaving the club this summer.

Kane had an exceptional last season in the Premier League as he won the golden boot with 23 goals and the playmaker award with 14 assists.

Losing the star striker would be a massive blow to any hopes of Tottenham getting back into the Champions League or breaking their now 13-year trophy doubt.

Groves suggested that Spurs are ‘lucky’ Kane is represented by his brother and not a super agent.

He said: “I think the reason Harry Kane stayed for one more season was because of Jose Mourinho.

“A Spurs fan was saying earlier that he thinks his brother has had it on.

“I think you are very lucky he has his brother as his agent. If you had Raiola or one of the other super agents.”

Charlie Kane has been getting a lot of grief on social media for supposedly pushing out the rumours. But, to be fair, Groves may have a point. Agents like Raiola or Mendes would know exactly how to face up to Paratici or Levy rather than Charlie.
