Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Ryan Sessegnon virtually ever since Fulham were relegated from the Premier League last season (Guardian).
The young Englishman, who is currently at the U21 Euros tournament with his country, is out of contract at the end of next season.
Fulham will likely be forced to sell the player this summer or risk losing him on a free in 2020, however, Spurs are not the only interested party.
Recent reports indicated that Liverpool are also keen on bringing the left back in this transfer window in order to provide back up to Andy Robertson (Bleacher Report).
Sessegnon started 26 league games for Fulham last season, scoring just two goals and setting up six, far from his scintillating form in the Championship the previous campaign.
Ex-Fulham and Tottenham star, Stephen Kelly, has now revealed that he believes Sessegnon should move to the Champions League runners up this summer, rather than the Champions.
“For his longevity, he needs to win something for him to stay.”
“He’s been extremely loyal and Tottenham have been loyal.”
“But they need to give him money. They need a trophy.” ?
