Ex-Liverpool man claims Spurs star would be a ‘perfect fit’ for Klopp’s side

Jose Enrique has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur star Son Heung-min would be a ‘perfect fit’ for the Reds under Jurgen Klopp.

Son has come on leaps and bounds since first arriving at Tottenham from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2015.

The South Korean struggled for a consistent run in the team in his first season at White Hart Lane and has admitted he wanted to leave just a year after joining the club.

However, the forward persevered and has subsequently gone on to become a modern-day legend of the club, to the point that the 29-year-old has increasingly been recognised as a world-class player over the last few years.

Son is having another exceptional campaign, having scored nine goals and registered four assists so far in all competitions.

When asked which two players he would sign if he was Liverpool boss, Trent Alexander-Arnold told Premier League’s Uncut YouTube show last week that he would sign Son and Kevin De Bruyne.

Enrique has now agreed with Alexander-Arnold’s assessment and lavished praise on Son for his quality and versatility.

The former Liverpool left-back wrote on Instagram: “Trent says he would sign de Bruyne and Son if he could add 2 Premier League players to our current squad.

“I believe they will be a perfect fit for our style of play as well and the good thing about Son is that he can play in any of the front 3 positions even if a left-winger or number 9 are his best position.

“It reminds me of jota in a way that is very versatile to play anywhere.”

Any club in the world would love to have Son. The South Korean is arguably one of the best in the world in playing as a left-wing-forward or as part of a front two.

Thankfully, we do not have to worry about losing him anytime soon given that the forward signed a long-term contract just this summer.
