Ex-Liverpool striker claims players want to sign for Spurs

It’s a big season for Tottenham Hotspur regardless of where they finish in the Premier League, as it will go down in history as the first campaign in which the Lilywhites graced their brand new stadium.

Of course, this would be made even better if Spurs could secure Champions League football for the ground next season, as well as winning a couple of European matches in it this campaign.

Despite recent troubles domestically, with three losses in the last four game, ex-Liverpool striker Harry Kewell believes that players still want to sign for Tottenham.

He listed the amazing stadium, fantastic training ground, Champions League football, and a manager who develops young players as major selling points for the North London club.

Spurs fans will be hoping this is true, as the club haven’t signed any new stars in well over a year, with Lucas Moura being the last acquisition way back in January 2018.

He said (SkySports): “Players do want to come there. They do look at the training ground facilities where they can improve as a player, and players know from the past that Pochettino does improve players, so players would go there and think, ‘Am I going to improve?’Yes. Do I get to play in a wonderful new stadium?’ Yes’.

“You are looking at the team, they are playing in the Champions League, these are the things that attract great players.”
