Ex-player claims he would rather have this Spurs star than PSG’s Neymar

Tottenham Hotspur have a number of world-class players within their ranks these days, from Harry Kane to Christian Eriksen and World Cup winning captain Hugo Lloris.

However, it is Heung Min Son, the star from South Korea, who has caught the eye of ex-player Tony Cascarino, leading him to make a huge statement about the winger.

Cascarino claimed that he would rather have Sonny, Sadio Mane, or Mo Salah that PSG and Brazil superstar Neymar.

So far this season, Son has bagged ten goals and nine assists for Spurs, with five goals each coming in the Premier League and Champions League (Transfer Markt).

In the 2018/19 season, Son helped Spurs to reach a Champions League Final, and managed 20 goals and 10 assists in 48 games for the Lilywhites (TransferMarkt).

Cascarino questioned what Lionel Messi sees in Neymar and claims that the other three do more for the team, hence why he would prefer them over the Brazil speedster.

He said (TalkSPORT – Weekend Sports Breakfast – 28/12/19 at 8:55 am): “I would definitely take Mane and Salah [over Neymar], every day of the week, [And] Son. He has hardly played for half the season. He is a Harlem Globetrotter footballer, I’m not denying it that he has got great technique.

“But I would rather have all of them three over him. What does Messi see in him [Neymar]? Maybe that he fits in with Messi’s way of playing and Messi likes having him in the team. I’d think the [other three] would do far more for the team. I don’t deny that he’s a great player. I would [also] take Mbappe over him every day of the week.”
