Former Tottenham midfielder, Micheal Brown has admitted that he would be disappointed with Jose Mourinho’s comments in midweek if he was in the Spurs dressing room.

Mourinho rang the changes for Tottenham’s trip to Belgium, with Ben Davies and Hugo Lloris being the only two players to keep their places from the side’s 1-0 win over Burnley on Monday.

However, the Lilywhites put in what was arguably their poorest performance of the campaign as they fell to their first defeat in eleven matches.

Despite Mourinho making four changes at half-time and bringing Harry Kane on before the hour mark, Spurs were not able to get back into the game after the hosts took the lead midway through the first half.

The Tottenham boss was extremely critical of his players after the game, insisting that his team selections will be much easier going forward (Football.London).

When asked about Mourinho’s comments, Brown told BBC Radio 5 Live: “Jose Mourinho is going to be questioned until he gets results and things over the line at Spurs.

“Mourinho actually said ‘enough is enough with the documentary’. He was glad to see it go. He’s going to control his own show for everybody to see.

“It’s one of those. He has got to be sensible where he can. The result isn’t great. The question was as a player, he’s putting out there for me ‘well everybody back in training I am disappointed that’s why I don’t pick you in other games’.

“That’s where he is questioning a lot of senior players in there. Really, really good players. I would be a little bit disappointed with those comments.”
