Ex-Spurs midfielder claims that Mourinho has the ability to attract players to the club

Jose Mourinho is one of the most successful managers in the modern era of the game, few could argue against that point with his proven track record.

The Special One has won trophies where ever he has gone in his senior managerial career, including Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan, Real Madrid, Chelsea again, and Manchester United.

Will Spurs be next on that list? Only time will tell.

Mourinho won the league title in Portugal twice with Porto, as well as the Champions League and UEFA Cup (Wikipedia).

He won three Premier League titles with Chelsea, as well as an FA Cup, and three League Cups. He also added another League Cup while in charge of Man United, as well as the Europa League.

Mourinho won the Champions League and two Serie A titles with Inter Milan and a La Liga title with Real Madrid.

Ex-Spurs midfielder, Michael Brown, has now claimed that this great record will still act as an attraction for players to come and join Mourinho at Tottenham.

He said (Goal): “He’s a fantastic manager. He has a great record. He’s a good attraction, Mourinho, regarding recruitment and players wanting to come and play for Spurs.

“The stadium is magnificent, training ground, so there will be many, many players out there who will want to sign for Spurs. It’s just a matter of how much and how far they can go. That’ll be interesting.

“Someone with that experience, to have a bit of adversity with the injuries and be up against it, if there’s ever a manager that can deal with these problems then it’s Jose Mourinho.

“Kane and Son are wonderful players. When you are missing those, it’s going to be difficult. But they have still got some great quality in the squad.

“As a team, probably defensively they would hope to be a little bit better and not having those goals at the top of the pitch makes it that much harder.”
