Ex-Spurs player claims club could ‘freshen things up’ with this new face

Tottenham Hotspur are in dire need of freshening things up in North London after recording just four wins from 15 games this season.

Spurs are still lagging behind the top four chasing pack, currently sitting in eleventh, well below the likes of Chelsea and Leicester in the Champions League spots.

The Lilywhites gave away yet another lead this weekend as they allowed Everton to come back from 1-0 down to draw 1-1. This followed a similar event against Liverpool the week before, with the Reds eventually winning 2-1.

While Pochettino has Ryan Sessegnon to bring on for some teenage width, there is a chance he could utilise the youngster at left-back, rather than on the wing.

If so, could there be room for a certain Jack Clarke to come back to the club?

Clarke is currently out on loan at Leeds United after signing for Spurs in the summer and Darren Bent believes the Lilywhites could recall him.

He said (Football Insider): “Something needs to change now, obviously Sessegnon is back soon so he will be thrown in the mix.

“But also they’ve got Jack Clarke out there as well and he’s not getting any game time at Leeds, so they could potentially bring him back to freshen things up in the dressing room as right now, it’s a tough position for them to be in.”
