Jamie O’Hara took to social media to criticise Cristian Romero during Tottenham’s 1-0 loss to Middlesbrough in the FA Cup fifth round.
Tottenham failed to impose themselves on the match throughout the 120 minutes and the home side got their just rewards for a fighting display as Josh Coburn popped up with the winner during the second half of extra time.
Boro had several chances to take the lead even before extra time, with Spurs looking extremely susceptible during set-pieces.
O’Hara was particularly furious at Romero after Jonny Howson evaded the Argentine in the box but put his header wide of the post.
Ben Davies tried to stop Howson from getting a clean header and the Welshman and Romero seemed to point their fingers at each other after the chance was spurned by Boro midfielder.
O’Hara blasted Romero for losing his man and then trying to blame others for his mistake.
Romero putting his arms out blaming someone for not marking when it’s his man that’s getting the free header, winds me up so much this guy #spurs #FACup

Spurs Web Opinion
I have noticed that a section of the Spurs fan base have been refusing to acknowledge the mistakes Romero has been making over recent weeks.
The Argentine is clearly very talented but he seems quite raw and his decision making at times is questionable.
Romero certainly has a lot of room for improvement to be considered a top-class centre-back.
