Jamie O’Hara has claimed Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy would prefer to finish in the Premier League top four over winning the FA Cup this season.
Tottenham maintained their status in the cup by progressing into the fifth round after edging out Brighton 3-1 on Saturday night.
Tottenham are set to face a trip to Middlesbrough later this month, who caused one of the upsets of the round by knocking out Manchester United on penalties.
Meanwhile, Spurs are sitting in seventh-place in the Premier League table just two points off Manchester United in fourth place having played two games less.
Spurs have not qualified for the Champions League since the 2019/20 campaign when they were knocked out in the last 16 by RB Leipzig.
However, despite not winning silverware since 2008 and not tasting FA Cup glory for more than 30 years, former Spurs midfielder O’Hara believes chairman Levy may prioritise securing top four over winning a trophy.
Speaking about what he would rather see Spurs achieve, talkSPORT (07/02/22, 7:27am), O’Hara said: “FA Cup. A million per cent. Spurs need to win a trophy.

“If you ask Daniel Levy that, he would say the Champions League. 1 million per cent he would say Champions League football because of the business side, finances, but as a fan, we need to win trophies.”

Securing Champions League football has overtaken the pros of winning silverware from a financial point of view, but the game is all about trophies at the end of the day.
A club like Tottenham should not be going this long without winning a trophy and as long as they are in the FA Cup, it can be possible to end the drought as well as securing top four this season.
