Ex-Spurs player reckons Mike Dean antagonised Pochettino

It was a sad day for all involved with Tottenham on Saturday, as the club fell to a 2-1 loss at Turf Moor.

Spurs needed a win against Burnley to close the gap to just two points behind both Liverpool and Man City.

With Liverpool drawing against Man United on Sunday, and City not in Premier League action, Tottenham would have finished the weekend just three points off the pace.

This would have well and truly thrust Spurs into realistic title contention, however, it wasn’t meant to be.

Burnley opened the scoring from a corner, despite the ball clearly coming off a Burnley player.

Pochettino was unhappy with this decision, and certainly let Mike Dean know come the final whistle, as the two came to blows.

Poch and Dean were seen getting rather close and personal after the match, and ex-Spurs man Bobby Zamora has implied that the referee has a reputation for winding people up.

Bobby Zamora tweeted: ‘Mike Dean at it again with a few comments I bet’
