Ex-Spurs and England man Paul Gascoigne has reportedly been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault on Monday evening.
Police held the former football star following allegations that he inappropriately touched a woman on a CrossCountry train service from York.
Gascoigne was held at Durham railway station. He has since been released pending investigations.
The ex-Newcastle, Tottenham and Rangers star, who has had a well-publicised battle with alcohol addiction, recently denied he was drunk during an appearance on Sky’s Soccer AM.
Gazza later took to social media to explain that he cut his appearance on the programme short due to the effect of sleeping tablets.
